Cleaning a baked-on mess with boiling water

This morning I used my aebleskiver pan to make breakfast for my in-laws. (Thanks again, Hilditch!) However, I was also frying bacon and eggs (and I had my mother-in-law looking over my shoulder) so I was rushed during the second batch when I was adding the blackberry jam to the cups. When it came time to clean up, here was rock hard, baked on jam in several of the cups. Remembering a tip I read in here, I filled the pan with water and brought it to a boil for a couple of minutes. Problem solved!

So, since this is the time of year when remember to thank those around us ... thanks everybody for the great and helpful tips in this forum!

You’re welcome.

Tip #417 - Allow an aebleskiver to cook for 90 to 120 seconds before adding a filling and add in the order poured covering well with batter.
