Cleaning ... redux

Hi again! Still on this lye cleaning thing... Is there any certain type, brand, etc. of plastic bag you use for the oven cleaner technique? Yes, I'm a big chicken about that stuff, but I am giving in to the common wisdom and am going to try it. Any details laid out somewhere on the website that I have missed seeing? (Wouldn't be the first time <sigh>) By the way, vinegar does remove rust wonderfully, but I can guarantee it will "eat" poor quality iron, if given the opportunity. Thanks to all for your responses and sharing!

Any trash bag large enough to hold the pan should be fine, Glad tall kitchen bags being one example.

Thanks again, Doug. You are a fount of wisdom. The older I get, the less well I read... oh well, at least I finally have time to sort out my hoard of iron.
