I recently found and bought two 3 legged cast iron skillets that page 208 (in the Martin section towards the back) of the Red Book of Wagner and Griswold picture and describe as a COUNTRY SKILLET but without the lid. They do sport the long handle with a hanger hole and also have raised size / ID marks of "10 IN" and "11 IN".
There is no Kings Stove or Martins Stove logo. On the underside there is the 19th Century (ish) gate marks on both and the 11 inch one has a raised molded "23". See pictures.
Have any of my cast iron friends seen these and know any more about their possible history? Unmarked King or Martin? Someone else?
Many thanks for your help.
