Crescent FD'Y OZARK St. Louis, MO.

Hi Everyone, New to the forum but not new to cast iron. I'm not a collector but just an everyday cook. I love cooking and love to try the old cast irons that I find.

Today I found a #8 CRESCENT FD'Y OZARK with lid. The lid is like in a beehive shape. Kind of cool, I think anyway. I've not heard of the brand and would like to know more about it if anyone knows anything. I bought it for $8 at a garage sale. Did I do OK? It's in great shape and flat and it's ready to cook in. I didn't have to do anything to it but wash it.

I'm pretty excited to say the least about using it tomorrow for making sausage gravy.

Welcome to the forum. Looks like you have an eye like a collector, so you are on your way. One piece leads to the next.

We've got or favorites and who knows, this might be my new favorite pan. I needed it like I need another hole in my head. LOL. But I fell in love with it as soon as I found it since I've NEVER heard of the brand before. I would love to find out more about it.
