Damn oven!!!

Last night I cooked a large mess of green beans in my camp DO over the fire. Didn't use charcoal but actual coals. Really enjoyed this. The beans came out wonderfully!!! Simmering in no time.

Well, last night when I was done, washed the pot, dried it off, threw it in the oven at 200 degrees. Didn't even pay attention but just turned the oven off after about 25 minutes. I forgot to put oil on them last night so I just turned the oven back on 200 and was going to let them warm up and then put oil on them.

Well, that would have worked fine if it hadn't been for the damn oven not working!!! Ggggrrrrrrr. Talk about frustrating.

I guess there were a few spots around the lid that weren't completely dry so they put rust spots on the lid. So frustrating!!!!

I had to order the part for the oven and it won't be here till Friday.

Ouch! Sorry to hear about your oven. It sounds like my stove. Mine's so worn out, I have to jiggle the coil to get it to work. It sucks, thinking you are warming up a pan, only to find out ten minutes later that it never turned on.

Yeah I was not pleased!!! That's to say the least. Still using my CI just have to pay more attention to when it's cool enough to run hot water over and clean it until Friday. It's sad you know, when you have to figure out how you're going to cook if you don't have your CI to cook in when you have to clean it a different way. Lol
