Descoware 9"

I found a Descoware 9" (Belgum) at a GW yesterday. What is the feeling about Descoware? Is it like the Taiwan pieces where collectors/users generally stay away from these pieces?

Also, cleaning; it appears hot water and dawn/baking soda is the answer. How do I clean the outside with this method?

Thanks for all of the future info.

Descoware is pretty highly regarded. Maybe not as sought after as Cousances/Le Creuset, but good stuff nonetheless.

That was good cookware back in the day and holds it own even today. I have a 2qt sauce pan I use often and like so much I’m looking for a few more.

One I really want is the larger roaster for lasagna and other baked dishes. They are some of the best unnoticed bang for the buck.

I often use Bar Keeper's friend to remove stains on enameled CI. You may want to try that. As long as there are no chips the staining does not impact its use.

Great. I will try that tonight.

1 more thing. The bottom of the pan is not enameled. I am carefully using oven cleaner to get rid of the crude. How do I season the bottom? The normal way in the oven?

The bottom has a clear glaze on it, which is why it's not rusty. It doesn't require seasoning.
