Discoloration

Hi!
New member here with a question.After stripping the interior with oven cleaner this noticeable color difference appeared. The bottom and sides are for the most part gray in color but the upper rim has a more tan color. Has anyone seen this before? Is this some staining from long ago or a normal part of the metal composition? Other than the color it seems to be a very nice piece of iron. Thoughts?

Doesn't really look eroded, but is still probably the result of some chemical action of most likely acidic food being cooked in it. With the build up of new seasoning from use, it should darken and blend.
