Does anyone have any insight into early Griswold tobacco cutters?

The numbers on this match pattern numbers that are in the back of the blue book for 'standard tobacco cutter base' and 'standard tobacco cutter handle'... I assume if I took it apart the other two pieces would also be marked on the inside with the other two numbers as well... I found this a while back and researched it some and then went back for it... it wasn't terribly expensive and the style of the pattern numbers makes me think it is early. The company listed on the bottom seems to be Samuel Cupples wooden ware Co. a name that they incorporated under around 1882 or 83. Very interesting history of Samuel Cupples... his parents immigrated from Ireland, lived in Pennsylvania(where Samuel was born)... he lived there for a while then headed west, first to Cincinnati then to St Lous where he made his fortune and then seemingly gave most of it away to charity and to fund St Louis' Washington University. While he started in 'wooden ware' (buckets and churns etc) his company expanded to include seemingly everything people would need when heading westward from St Louis.
