Does this look like a "Wagner"?

I picked up this skillet at a flea market. It was kind of crusty but I thought it would clean up. Unfortunately, the bottom was more pitted than just crusty. Could it be a "Wagner"? Either block or arc.

Rick, when I got the skillet, that was exactly what I was thinking, pre-Griswold Erie. The bottom of the pan is in decent condition where the Erie logo would be. The Wagner logo is more towards the center, that is where the roughest area is.

Benjamin, the skillet stayed in lye tank for several days, then e-tanked for 2 days. I'm afraid it is as clean as it will get. I have even got a magnifying glass out to try to pick up some marking of a logo.

I agree with Rick, looks like an Erie based on handle base. Those photos after lye soak? Looks like crud, not pitting to me. Tried electrolysis yet?

I would say that's sulfur pitting. Since it's a dissolving and moving of metal more than a removal, it can have what look like high spots. It's also entirely possible this was made by Wagner or someone else using an Erie (no such thing as "pre-Griswold") as a pattern.
