Dutch oven lid green inside

What is the coating and how can I get the rust off of this unlabeled lid? I have tried vinegar and oven cleaner and elbow grease. It does not phase the rust stains on the inside of the lid on the greenish coating. Can anyone identify the lid or the coating? LID.jpgUNDER.jpg?

It's a Lodge DO lid, ca. 1940s. Enameling of DO lid undersides was something done by Griswold (Clean Easy feature), but I've never seen Lodge literature showing they did it as well. Lye won't do anything to rust, and it and vinegar both tend to dull enameling. The pitting on the top looks like it spent a fair amount of time underwater or perhaps buried. Probably won't have much luck refurbing this one.

Yes, I am having trouble getting it to be usable again. The rust just won't come off the enamel. I had no idea it was that old. It came from a friends garage. I have the Dutch oven also with lye sitting in it. Would a collector have interest in it?
