I found this today, a lid with no oven bottom. Seller wanted 45$, didn't no if it was worth that. Although Griswold anything is fairly uncommon around here. Any thoughts? Does anyone need one? I think it is a small logo italic Griswold.
That's probably a reasonable price if it's in good condition. Lids are generally expensive, and slant logo lids are the oldest that Griswold made. As always, if you're patient and willing to spend the time hunting you can probably get it cheaper, but $45 I wouldn't consider a rip off by any means.
Thanks, I thought as much, but being new to this needed confirmation, I may go get the lid this week yet if it is still there. May even be able to get it cheaper, picked up a Puritan #3 for 15$ apiece today from same dealer today, both in excellent shape.
