Electrolysis for CI

How long could I leave a piece of CI in a electrolysis bath. Could extended use damage a piece of CI?

The electrolytic process won't affect anything that doesn't have oxygen in it, so, once the rust is gone and you're down to just good iron, the action stops.

I've left pieces in there for a week when I was busy and didn't have time to clean and season...might be a small waste of electricity, but no harm was done to the iron.

I constantly leave my pieces in for a week or more. They just come out cleaner
