Erie 8: One of My First and Perhaps My Best Pan

I nearly forgot having bought this skillet a few months ago and before (I think) joining the forum. It was one of my first. After I joined the forum, I got Griswold fever and forgot all about this one. Rough as the bottom is, I think it may be my best pan. Am I understanding from the identification aids on this site that the pan dates from 1880-1910??

Hmmm, looks like they don't fetch much on eBay, but more than I paid for mine. Oh well!

Thank you, Kevin! I'm shuddering with the implications. At just 100 meals/day for 100 years, we may be talking what,10,000 times this skillet has been heated up and cooked something, unless it sat in a pantry for 50 years. Even so ....

this page has the distinctions for the various ERIE series. (just in case this wasn't where you were already looking)

I couldn't make out all the details of your handle in your pics... but the pattern number puts it at least at the third series... and the outside heat ring pretty well locks it in there.
