Erie #9 griddle

I picked up an Erie, artistic logo #9 griddle. I think I paid too much at $18...I think it will clean up to around slightly above average condition. Did I pay too much?

I am traveling for the military, and thought I wouldn't need my books...won't make that mistake again.
 
$18 for any Erie doesn't sound like too much, unless it's warped, pitted or cracked.
