Excelsior #8, sad iron tray?

I picked this today, seems the Excelsior logo is an elusive find?

I've read some reference data at one time that G.F. Filley was president and founder of Excelsior Stove Works but I'm not sure if Excelsior Mfg. Co. is/was a different company. In any case a nice find.
