I picked this up at a garage sale. Another "Do you have any cast iron?" "Yes, there's one in my oven. Hold on, I'll get it." So much buildup I couldn't tell what it was other than a chicken fryer. Didn't need any more chicken fryers, but what the heck.
Threw it in the lye bath and went on vacation. Just pulled it out. Never saw this before but I'm fairly new to the game. Heat ring, really deep. Size 8 1/2.
I like it and I have a feeling this will be my new user. Now I can get rid of some of the other fryers.


 
Very nice find! Every time I ask that question, I get " the look ", a head shake, and a shoulder shrug.....I have bad luck here in Central PA finding CI.:eek:
