Favorite or Chicago?

I don't think anyone will be able to say for sure. It's usually said as either "late Favorite or CHF", the heat ring profile being seen on some like Favorite's skillets towards the end of its run and also on CHF's. That and the extrapolation that the diamond is related to Favorite's Miami economy brand logo. If Favorite, probably ~1930; if CHF, after 1934. If it's in good shape under the crud, I'd say the $8 was well spent.

I had a #5 diamond, they are of exceptional quality I think. I'll spend $8 just to see what surprise is under the crud, that was a steal, congrats.

I saw another Diamond skillet to day that looks as if it has had very little use, I was very temped to buy but I'm not sure what they are actually worth. No warps no season no cracks and an even coat of surface rust. they are asking 21 dollars. what do you think?
