I've got a Piqua Favorite Ware Skillet that was enameled. However the enamel is damaged beyond repair. Is it possible to remove the enamel without using some mechanical method that would damage the iron under the enamel? I have had this pan for a while now, hoping I could figure out a way to resurrect the pan. The only thing I can think to do is sandblasting it, however I would like to preserve the integrity of the cast iron under the enamel.
