Flaxseed Oil

I've just switched to flaxseed oil, everything looks great ! I'm just curious, how many layers until it looks black ? It's all a nice dark gray but no sheen to it yet. Any ideas ?

How many layers do you have now? Are you going to use them or are they just for display? After 2-3 layers I'd just cook with them, they'll blacken up with usage...then flake. LOL

It appears the magic number is 4, starting to get a sheen and get dark. I'm putting on very light layers, from what I've read, it shouldn't flake off.

Oh, yeah, the magic number was six when I tried it. Are you going to use it or hang it?

I tried it and didnt like it. It isnt very durable. Ill stick to crisco.
