I thought when I bought this pan that it was a large block epu but it measures only 2 1/2 which would be a medium block but a medium block does not have epu correct? Trying to get a year and logo classification. thanks. http://www.flickr.com/photos/bday06041975/9055459924/lightbox/

That's considered a large block. The same logo on a #0 toy skillet is only 1-5/8", but is also still considered large block. The 3-1/4"+ diameter is generally true, however, for the majority of pieces, except where dimensionally unfeasible. The "large" has more to do with the "block" (as in lettering) than it does the actual physical size of the trademark. I've added a footnote to the Trademarks & Logos page. "Medium block" were the later #3 smooth bottom skillets with "ERIE, PA" only. Yours was made 1920-30.
