Griswold #9 Tite Top Baster

Hi, I'm new to collecting. I just purchased a Griswold #9 Tite Top Baster. Everything looks good with the exception of a slightly bent bail. I've read that can be an indicator of a pot that was burnt in a fire to remove residue. Pot is flat and the lid fits well. The seasoning on the inside looks good. I probably should have asked for advice on price prior to purchasing, but hope the $75 I paid was not too excessive.

A bent bail can also be simply that. If it is still stiff, it can be fixed. Forming it back into shape can be challenging, but is possible. If fire damaged, the bail loses temper and becomes soft and malleable.

Thanks, the bail is still stiff and the pot shows no sign of pitting or excessive rusting. How did I do on the price ($75)? Seller was asking $175.
