Yo! I cant find any info on this in my Griswold reference material! It doesnt have a base. Both sides are the same. Ball type hindge, spring type handle. Appears to be 1920-30.

The 628 is the aluminum analog to the CI p/n 151. Revisions to both (the handle attachment) resulted in 628N and 151N irons. Dating ca. 1930s. The 628N is pictured RB pg. 160. The bases would be p/ns 152-155, which have no leveling pin grooves.
