the 273 is pretty common. circa 1930-1950. good deal for 8 dollars. there is another 273 pan that has a hammered finish but is very rare. the letters are for different molds that were used

thank you. i did not know about different molds. What was the deal? Did they wear out or break and were replaced? Or just more than one so production stays steady?

I have seen a couple of these in the past month. The pans are in Griswold sleeves, but have no markings on them. Did Griswold make non-marked corn stick pans?

Are you sure you didn't see unmarked Wagner pans in Griswold sleeves? Griswold didn't make them unmarked and, AFAIK, Wagner only used the pattern for the tea size after the acquisition, for a Griswold with no Erie PA and altered for the Wagner 1891 toy set.

I am not sure of what they were. I wasn't interested at the prices, so I moved on. Next time I come across one, I will look at the handle shape.
