It's fake. It's a "tea size" corn stick pan. Only when Wagner years later couldn't find a pattern of theirs to make a commemorative toy set did they repurpose this Griswold's pattern for one.
That is interesting RickC, I didn't know there was a presumed Wagner version. I figured all rough cast were fake but now I will take a closer look. I see lots of fakes. By the way, it's good to see you back.
I have one like RickC, and I wouldn't call it a rough casting. Maybe a tad less smooth than the original, but not terribly. It's shown in either the RB or BB.
Ive got a few of these (real and fake). ive even tried to explain to some people there fake. they usually don't believe me. they probably think I'm just trying to get a deal. ill pick up the fake ones if there only a few bucks ill pickem up. I didn't know there was a Wagner version either. ill make cornbread with the grandkids, they get a kick out it cause there tiny, plus who doesn't like cornbread n butter
