I don't see much love for ham boilers on here so thought I would post a few photos of one I'm working on. It isn't quite finished but is getting close. All that thick old black paint is proving a challenge to get off on the inside where the surface is pitted. The outside was no problem.

Thanks for the compliment. I soaked the ham boiler in the lye tank for a little over a month, gave it a good scrubbing then let it hang in the electrolysis tank for a week. Another good scrubbing and then soaked in 50% vinegar solution for 30 minutes followed by more scrubbing, did that three times. That got all the crud and rust off but there is still plenty of paint in the pits on the inside surface. For display only I would call it good, but I like all my iron to be ready to cook, so I have to get the remaining paint out. I have a single coating of seasoning on it to keep it from rusting while I decide how to proceed. The hot paint sure stunk up the oven.

I'm not set up to do anything that size. Your piece looks great. I've had a piece or two that had been painted and was a real pain to remove.
