Hammered #9

Just before posting this thread I read Bonnie Scott's thread and Doug D's input to her purchase and now I am less certain on my purchase. I bought a #9 Hammered cast iron skillet today at one of the shops I frequent for $39.00 that I wasn't sure of when I bought it. The handle was what threw me and when I got home I still wasn't able to do a positive I.D. from the Cast Iron Collector files or on e-bay ect. I took three pictures of which I hope will be attached to this thread in hopes that someone will be able to shed some light on it. Skillet is flat bottom (no wobbles) no visible cracks but dirt with cooked on crud. I am certain it's not a CHF, Wagner, Griswold, or any of the more popular cast iron brands, so I am at a loss. Surface is smooth but needs re-seasoning and is heavy. Bottom line is have I wasted $39.00 and need to put it in tomorrow's trash pickup or clean it and list it on e-bay as vintage "maker unknown" $xxx.xx? Seriously....I am going to keep it but would like to have some knowledge of it if possible.
Thanks...

Hammering is a little too nice to put it in the "hammered ugly unknown CI" category. Just hammered unknown, I guess.

It has actually cleaned up very nice. I have it in the oven seasoning it as I reply to you. I may post another pic of it someday in the cleaned-up state but for now it will be another nice piece to cook in.

You're right Benjamin...At least we both know there are several pieces out there that were made by the same Mfg. I saw your thread before I posted mine and was in hopes that someone was able to I.D it.
Thanks.....
