hammered lodge with no number?

I found what I think is a single notch, hammered Lodge at a thrift store. It is a #8 size, however, I cannot find a number on the bottom. I have it soaking now, but I sanded some of the grime off and... no number. Any ideas?

I have a 1-notch hammered #8 Lodge; it has the size number incised at 12 o'clock and the typical raised molder's mark at 6.

My pan has the raised molder's mark at 6:00, but I don't see the size number. Maybe it will appear after cleaning.

sometimes the older lodge one notches will have a raised number on the handle

Have never seen a hammered Lodge with the raised number on top of the handle, though.
