hammered pot and lid id

finally finished a few more. these are hammered. there is an 8 on the handle of the pot and an 8 on the lid. is this Chicago Hardware Foundry?

I don't think CHF, but who I don't know. There's a lot of hammered like this the origins of which are uncertain.

I own this same combo, but my deep skillet does not have a number on the handle. I would love to see more opinions guesses?):icon_scratchchin::icon_scratchchin::icon_scratchchin: on what this would be.

Is the casting kind of rough? Is it VERY heavy? Does it have a bit of a crude overall look to it?

I think that is a good description. VERY heavy. Somewhat crude, but not as crude as the recent or foreign stuff. Otherwise no clue what it is. But it is pretty cool to have around!
