Heart shaped muffin pan

... or is it called a gen pan? This is another pan I saw today that I'm wondering about. Seems like I read a thread this week about fake heart-shaped pans, but I can't find it. Getting old sucks.

I've seen pans like this before and they always had a "made in Taiwan" stamp on the back. This one doesn't. It has a gate mark on the handle and a letter "C" (pattern or maker's mark?) on one of the hearts.

Is this a pan worth having? I passed on it, but will be back in that area tomorrow.

I thought it might be fun to make heart-shaped cornbread for my beautiful bride.

I have one that's a John Wright pan. May be foreign made but I think it will make cute little cupcake like cakes for my grand daughter to decorate.

The John Wright pans I've had were clearly marked, but whatever this is, I'd have been very tempted by it. Would love to see the interior of the pan. (Please note I'm a sucker for gem pans!)

This one is getting to me. Does anyone have a feeling about whether this is older American or modern Asian? I still think I'd have bought it, just for the pattern. Where are these neat heart pans coming from? They are just not that common, and folks here have turned up several in the last few days. Interesting!

I'm pretty sure they are something that has been produced recently and most likely imported. I picked one up about a year ago, and see them for sale semi frequently in 2nd hand stores. The one I have is also unmarked, and its not as high quality as the John Wright pans.

The one in the picture, actually looks nicer than the one I have and see in the stores.
