My father passed away leaving his rather large collection. I have done some research via the internet. Wow it's fascinating. I need help identifying several pieces and determine a reasonable value. My 1st piece is a #8 scribed on top of the handle and a MW on the bottom of the handle. Thanks for your help.

I have one like this with different letters, but in the same places. That they are raised and different makes them molder's marks, likely the initials of the foundryman who made the mold and cast the pan. There are no other characteristics which identify a particular manufacturer.

Those are very nice old pans but we will probably never know who made them. I have a couple and they are great users. Just enjoy the aesthetics and start cooking.
