Help identifying #5

I'm trying to identify this #5 that I recently picked up for $4 -it was completely covered in crud and had no markings other than a "5". Upon stripping it in my E-Tank (about 90% complete) I also found an additional "X" at 5 o'clock. The pan is very light compared to similar Lodge and BS&R #5s that I have, and weighs around the same as a Griswold #5 that I have. This has a smooth bottom and no other markings, from what I can tell.

Although you don't see a lot of them, these appear to be smooth bottom BSR. Hard to tell from the photo, but if the ridge on the bottom of the handle does not flatten out where it meets the pan wall, that, along with the markings, is indicative of BSR.
 
Thanks Doug! I've never seen a BSR without a heat ring (although I haven't been collecting for long). I've attached a few other pictures of the handle from a slightly different perspective.

This BSR seems lighter than the other Century pieces I have. Would it be a safe to assume that this from the Red Mountain series?

What we call Red Mountain style markings appear to have continued in use on pieces which are more Century-like. Generally, the older RM pans are lighter, with larger pour spouts (pre-automation), and often with somewhat crude-looking incised markings.
