Help my I.D. this Camp Dutch Oven marked only with N.L.

I picked up this camp Dutch oven at a great price (9.99). I couldn't find any markings except the stamping N.L. on the bottom. It also has the number 12 underneath the N.L. stamping. It looks similar to the old Lodge but doesn't have the CO markings. Also the bail handle only has one hole and not the standard double holes for attaching the bail. Its been driving me nuts trying to figure it out. It cooks great and I'm not interested in selling it I'm just curious.

The single hole bail attachment would not be atypical for Lodge. On their COs of this era one would expect either just the 12 on the bottom or with CO under the 12. Although Lodge is known for some strange and cryptic markings. I have seen a 12 with no CO, but with a K to the left of the 12. Could be either some commemoration (retiring long time employee initials) or perhaps something to do with export goods (Netherlands?).

An email to Lodge might solve the mystery; they are happy to answer inquiries, but if they don't know the answer, they often just give a link to this website.

Im gad to hear that you use it. It would be nice to know the maker,, but its kinda like a mysteryfor that DO. Its very nice BTW!
