I might be able to convince my mom to let me have her square skillet, her gem pan, and the 3 quart pot ... but this is her baby. She cooks in it all of the time.

That looks like a carbon copy of my #7. They make excellent users and a good size for omelets, brownies, and what ever else comes to mind.
 
The above IS a carbon copy of my inherited BSR, just with less carbon. The cooking surface is smoother than glass on mine. Some folks here call it crud and think it is ugly and should be stripped. Not while I’m alive.



I think it is beautiful and there isn’t a skillet out there that cooks any better.

Hilditch you are correct, both my #7&8 are smooth as glass and perform well in the kitchen.

I think I paid a little extra for the sulfur pitting to have the authentic look:)
