How to Clean Le Creuset 24 with Wood Handle?

I picked up this skillet a few weeks back for $5 at a garage sale. I don't know much about Le Creuset (other than name recognition) or how to restore and clean enameled CI. What's the best way to go about cleaning this thing up?

There's several post regarding the cleaning of enameled cast iron here under cleaning and seasoning. Here is one link referencing Dawn and baking soda.
We have done the boiling water and Dawn detergent which I find works well and doesn't dull the surface. Depending how bad the crud is will determine how much elbow grease you will need to apply.
