How to finish cleaning this skillett..

After the initial clean, I noticed the irregular pattern. How do I fix this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sometimes it comes out splotchy. You can try to even it out with vinegar and steel wool. After usage and layers of seasoning, it will even out. See:

Nearly all of mine look splotchy even after lye, vinegar, scrubbing, more scrubbing, more lye, more scrubbing and dawn. First seasoning usually evens it all out with additional layers giving an even finish all together.
