ID Help on Biscuit Gem pan

Het everyone,
I picked this baby up today. The price was to good so I couldn't pass. This is my first gate marked piece. I was wondering if anyone had any information on it. The number 2 is the only marking, besides the three gate marks. Cant wait to clean it up and use it.
Thanks,
Kyle

Kyle....If you go to our CIC Information section, Go to More Cast Metal Ware, Gem Pans....There is a section for Waterman gem pans and some good information near the bottom after the pictures.
Your pan looks similar to a #2 Waterman pan but it stops there. It was theorized that R&E made pans for Waterman according to the research. It also says that some pans did not have anything but a raised number on the underside of the handle but no other information to tie them back to Waterman/R&E.
It may be that your pan can not be 100% identified thus it falls into that cast iron "black hole" as to who the maker really was.
Sorry I don't have any other info regarding your query.

Thanks MD. I have read that page up and down and I also consulted all of the pictures. I assumed it might be a waterman, but more likely unidentifiable, but I also noticed the number 2 and hoped that it was familiar/stylized enough to spark someone to remember something. Thanks for the info.
I am still interested to hear if anyone else has any info.
Thanks for everything everyone.
