Hey guys, sorry I didn't get a very good picture of this, but I saw this skillet today. The bottom is pretty crusty and the only mark you can see is a diamond in the middle with what looks like a T in it. (It obvious somebody else was wondering too and sanded around it for a better look.)

It doesn't appear to have a heat ring, but that could be buried under the crust.

I don't believe the "T" inside the diamond corresponds with either a Favorite or a CHF for a couple reasons: The "T" is oriented with the short sides of the diamond. The diamond is located dead center of the skillet and not on the edge. It seems I've seen it before, but can't recall at all who my have made it. Canadian maybe?

I checked the trademark and logo section. The only diamond I see in the middle of a skillet says Miami in it. And this one is bigger than the ones I saw in the six o'clock position with numbers in them.

Canadian might be a good guess. I looked at those too, but I didn't see any like this one. I might go back and get it ... just for the fun of finding out if there are any marks under the crud. Ha!

Someone skimmed the thread and posted without reading or looking at the photo. I didn't see anything about that logo in either place. If you get it be sure to let the rest of us know how it turns out!

Lloyd, I found one like it on EBay: http://m.ebay.com/itm/192102254328?_mwBanner=1

And I found a thread here: http://castironcollector.com/forum/showthread.php?p=18817

Sounds like it's Canadian.

Also learned a few things about searching. Haha! When I was in the store I looked in the trademark and logo section and did an internet search, using "cast iron skillet with Diamond T logo" (but without the quotation marks.) after searching tonight (through two whole episodes of Blacklist) it finally dawned on me to search with the phrase - cast iron skillet "Diamond T" - and it popped right up. Apparently those quotation marks make a difference. Ha!

LOL. I posted that same link above you. I found plenty of questions but no answers. Some think it's the same as number in diamond (not me), some random Canadian, other T. Eaton company store brand. I chalk it up to "unknown" and interesting.
