ID help with this skillet

I am new here - hope to have ID help with this skillet. The only marking is the number 12 , which is approx 1" hgh. Let me know if more info is needed. Thanks in advance.

are the BSR No. 12 skillets like this one, (with no other markings, and no "made in USA" stamp), more scarce/rare?
 
The ones without Made in USA and this style marking were made for more than twice as many years as those with, so I would suppose not.
 
what I am wondering, more specifically, is if the number 12 skillets are more rare than the number 10 skillets. When I look on eBay, for example… I see many no. 10's, and very few no.12's.... So are the no. 12's truly more rare?
 
The most popular skillet sizes were probably 3, 8 and 10, with 8s at the top of the list. Never seemingly sold in full sets, but when groupings of skillets were offered as a promotion, they were often composed of a 3, 5 and 8. A 10 would probably have satisfied most needs for a bigger skillet at a lower cost than the only marginally larger 12.
 
I use a #10 nearly every other day. I have a 12 too, which I use, but the 10 is perfect for my family of 4.
