I have just discovered a nine inch square cast skillet . It is divided in four on a 50,25,25 percentage. It appears new unseasoned. It is marked on back " HEROUX AND SONS
MERRICKVILLE
BREAKFAST SKILLET
Based on info on line from Merrickville Historical Society it appears that Heroux sr. purchased in 1941 into an existing foundry and in 1946 it became Alloy Foundry and is currently operating under Alloy Foundry and Village Metalsmiths as of 2007 newsletter .
I have not been able to find mention elsewhere of Heroux and Sons and their products.???nor listing under Canadian Foundries of the Merrickville Ontario Canada foundries which have a history of over 175 years.

It sounds like you are doing real good so far. Those were war years so there may not be a lot of info available depending on what they were making for who when. Griswold and Wagner were making the same size/configuration breakfast skillets with different handle orientations from each other in the same time period and before in the US. Google Griswold breakfast skillet & go to images. Seeing a pic could explain which one was copied, if it was.

My SO who is into ancestry continues to find good info from local period newspapers in libraries and local historical societies. You may get more info checking him out than the company.
