This is a skillet I have not been able to ID it appears to have some kind of pattern all over the outside of the skillet. Any help is appreciated

That's an old Birmingham Stove & Range Co. "Red Mountain" skillet. They are great "user" pieces when found in good condition. The "pattern" you see is tool marks from someone having used a grinder, wire wheel, or other metal object to clean off build-up at some point in its past. :roll:
