ID question on a single-notch Lodge

Hey guys, had a question on a single-notch Lodge I picked up today. I was reading the info here on the site and noticed that the single-notch can have a raised molder's mark at the 6 position.

The one I have has a raised mark at the 12 position. More of a raised stubb like a square, not really a letter. I didn't see anything on it, so was curious about it. Is this odd, or just a variation of some kind? Is it rare in any way? Thanks.

I guess I'll need to take a picture or two. This is a single-notch Lodge in every way. It's proto-typical. It has a raised mark at the 12 position over the number 8.
