The shadows under that ruler make me think it might have a significant upward bow in the center. I think it might be heat damaged. I would ask the seller to provide another pic with a straight edge held against the cooking surface.
I understand what you are saying, but I don't think the color conclusively says heat damage. There are other artifacts such as a bluing of the iron, a whitish haze, and a scaly appearance to also consider. I think in this case the reddish may just be a combo of sunlight and camera.
You might be right Doug because cameras can be tricky but I would recommend a few more questions and pictures before I pulled the trigger on that pan. They are usually quite expensive and I wouldn't want to suffer buyers remorse later.

I think i will pass. Its 260 mile rd trip and he wants $220 for that and a few other pieces. The only other good piece is a Sm logo #10 Gris. If it was a Gris i would have been there already
