I'm thinking about buying this Lodge #6 - $15?

I'm about to swing back by a place I walked through during lunch to get this pan. ... I think ... still on the fence. I use a #6 Wagner Ware a couple of times a week. I'm thinking I might like this one better. My favorite #3 is an old Lodge. Maybe I'm a Lodge guy. Ha!

Interesting though. It has three notches. The number at 12 o'clock looks right. But shouldn't there be a raised maker's mark at 6 o'clock instead of a "dot"?

Here's the progress so far. I think this is the third seasoning. It's a little more pitted than I thought, but the surface seems smooth to the touch.

I stripped this one and started over. It still has some discoloration on the sides on the pan (mainly inside) but it will be a very good user.

These pics are after two seasonings (and three slices of bacon this morning!)

It looks much better that the identical one I did last night. I have some dark blotches on mine to the right of the 6. I'm sure they will be covered in time.

Nice restoration! It looks like a real good user. (And after all, folks, that's the point of a skillet, isn't it?)
