Hi Barstow is a RI stove / range company and limited hollow ware foundry. I have several large gem pans and scotch bowls but have not seen the bread pan before so I don't think it is common.

I like that piece and I think it's a great score to find. Maybe someone else will have a little more info on it a I'm a little curious to know.

Sorry, I've no helpful info. on the manufacturer, but must say the green-eyed monster bit when I saw the photos! My feeling is the pan is probably quite unusual. I wonder if it was a special design made to go with a particular style of the stove works main product? Hope someone else has more specific info. on this. In the meantime, I'll just go into the corner and sniffle for a while!;)

Barstow Stove Company operated out of Providence, RI (Water St) from the 1850s until 1929-30 or so. They are better known for their stoves, but even there, they were a small/regional foundry, so their stoves aren't that common. They also did business as Bay State Stoves (or acquired the name, I don't remember exactly).

To the OP...nice find! I've never seen a piece like it either. Jealous!

Awesome ! I want. Now will be on the lookout.... just think of the options
that version of bread pan presents. Nice find..I'm guessing a keeper !
