Info on Portsmouth O. #12 skillet with lid

Gentlemen,
I recently acquired a very old cast iron skillet with a lid. It is approximately the size of a large chicken fryer. The lid is concave like the kind you can put coals on top. It is in my storage unit and I can post pictures later if needed. The only markings are on the top of the lid. If you hold the lid up facing you there is a 12(at twelve oclock). In the middle of the lid there is the letters In; ( to signify inches I presume). At the bottom(at six oclock) is the words Portsmouth, O. It looks like this... 12
In;
Portsmouth, O.
Both the lid and the skillet have gate marks.
Could any of you provide me any information on this skillet and it's approximate value?

I think youll need to post pics. Too hard to just guess. Id say 1800s on both, made by ???.....hope you find out.
