Inquiry on Mom's Dutch Oven.

My 80-year-old mother just dropped this by me the other day. I'm trying to get an inquiry on the age and make of this Dutch oven. I measured the distance on the legs of what iron might be lost from age, and it looks like it's missing about an inch.

Due to the gate mark, I would say early 1800s, but youll probably never know the maker. I would try to clean it up and use it.
