Inverted "A"

I have what I believe to be an unmarked Wagner #8 skillet. It say "10 1/2 INCH SKILLET" in the typewriter font, and under that it says "MADE IN THE USA", but the "A" in MADE has the regular letter and an upside-down A stamped over it. Anyone seen that before?

Sounds like probably a pattern making error that was allowed to slip by. Most questions are better answered if there's a photo to go with.

I just cleaned up one of those "10 1/2 INCH SKILLET"s where you can also still see the 1058 faintly but no Wagner logo.

I have the same thing. This is a skillet I inherited from my parents. I'd love to know more about it.
Also: I would like to subscribe to this thread, however there is no option for that under "Thread Tools".
