Just bought a 15" as Cast Iron skillet, Lodge brand. It says it is pre-seasoned, but I took some olive oil(not supposed to use, I heard), coated entire skillet with it, Put it into a pre heated 350 degree over for 1 1.2 hrs. Let it cool until I could touch it, took it out rinsed and re-coated with the oil. Fried three bratwurst's in it after got pan hot. When done, did not use any soap, just rinsed and used steel chain made to clean the pan. Re coated, noticed that the place where I had the bratwurst's has ghosting of where the sausage was, is this normal, or will it go away after a while?
