Doesn't look like anything I've seen, especially with it not being centered. I wonder if someone took a Dremel to it

My guess is that it is a genuine pre-Wagner pan. the handle dates it late 1800's. I have one from when Wagner bought them and straight text like that.

I was going to say that the handle attachment looked like the one on my ERIE skillet, and it almost does, but not quite the same.

I don't see any examples in either the RB of BB that resemble this in the least. In fact, I don't see any in either book that seem to have that raised attachment point at all. I will say though that a couple of examples to have the "Sidney" not perfectly centered, but nowhere near as extreme as in this example.
