Is This Aluminum Wagner Drip Drop Baster Restorable?

Hey guys,
I'm out shopping again ... stopped by a place on the way home.

1. Is this oval roaster worth $48?
2. Is it restorable? (I restored an aluminum Magnalite DO and it came out beautiful, but it was in better shape.
3. Was this made before they started making the Magnalite brand?
4. It is a total spinner. I've read on here you can do something about that when it is aluminum. Is that right?

Yes, pre-Magnalite. That's the older "turtle" top lid, made before the one with shoulders and the raised stylized logo. Should be restorable by the same techniques on the website, which also talks about warp removal. Not sure how polished the top of the lid was originally, would need to give that some research before proceeding.
 
Thanks, Doug! I looked around a little on the internet and saw a couple that are fairly shined, but not as shiny as a Magnalite. I'll keep looking to see if I can found out just how polished they were when new.
